Thank you for choosing me to represent you in Washington and here at home. I sincerely appreciate your support. I know that working together we can make a difference for Central New York.

This past November, our country united in an historic turnout for Election Day. You have sent a message that our community does choose unity over divisiveness and hope over cynicism. This does not mean that we have an easy road ahead of us but we will walk it together.

The challenges we face are immense. Our economy and infrastructure are both in dire need of repair. Healthcare and education costs are becoming unmanageable for too many families. Our young people have been leaving us because they no longer see Upstate New York as a place of opportunity. But the people have spoken with a unified voice, and I will work with Republicans, Democrats and Independents to find real and lasting solutions to these critical problems. This district is diverse, from Rochester suburbs, to the city of Syracuse, to rural towns in Cayuga and Wayne County, and I pledge to work every day to represent every constituent to the best of my abilities.

Please do not lose any of the fire and excitement you felt on Election Night or Inauguration Day. Every day, my staff and I, are working to improve our schools, our local economy and our region's challenges in cooperation with you.  As your Congressman, I've got a lot of work cut out for me, but I know we can make great strides in our community if everyone stays committed to action.
